![]() This is a unique device and, in the right hands, can do wonders for an audio system. The system starts with an Audison Bit10D processor. The Audison BitTenD DRC Controller is within the client’s fingertips for control of the master volume, subwoofer level, tuning presets and more! Audison Bit10D Handles Audio Signal Processing For This Baltimore F150 Client What it did need was a sound quality overhaul, and that is what we gave him. It works very well and looks great in the dash. Sometimes Keeping the Stock Radio is The Right Choice Keeping the factory Navigation unit as the source for this system made the most sense.įirst and foremost, neither the customer nor WSS had any intentions of replacing the stock Sony navigation system. We set an installation date, and it was off to the races. After doing the demos, we worked up what we felt was the best solution for his needs, and he liked what we put together. We listened to several different products to determine what he liked the best. We went out to the truck with the customer, listened to the audio system with him and noticed that it had the top-of-the-line Sony system with navigation.Īfter sitting in the truck for a while and listening to its sound system, we both came to the same conclusion: It sounded lifeless and dull, and needed a major upgrade, so off to the sound room we went. He had read some of our articles about upgrades we had done to the last-generation F150, so he decided to make the drive out to see us. ![]() Just want to “plug and play” haha.A customer came to WSS Westminster Speed & Sound from Baltimore, Maryland, with his brand-new 2015 Ford F150, looking to dramatically improve the sound quality of his vehicle’s audio system. I have reached out to plugnplay kits and waiting to hear back, will probably go that route out of convenience and the fact that I do not want to cut or tap into any factory wires at this juncture. ![]() What are some quality middle of the road speakers that would pair well with the key power wise? Wouldn’t mind sticking with kicker as I have used in the past but I am very open to suggestions. I have also heard biamp vs passive and I’m not quite sure what that means. Is the stock radio a 4 or 6 channel system?Īre the tweeters independently powered or do they piggyback off the 6x9 in the front door? Will a key power them in addition to the four door speakers if so? With the option of maybe adding a separately powered amp/sun down the road. ![]() That being said - I am pretty interested in the kicker key 200.4, seems to be a good option for price and ease of installation…plus with some upgraded speakers all around I think I will be happy. ![]() I’m not looking to go overboard, I have very realistic expectations that you get what you pay for. Aside from that I’ve never really upgraded a vehicle system. I do have limited experience with aftermarket audio and more so with wiring…with the help of YouTube I fully installed a clarion amp with 4 x 6.5 and a sub on my boat haha. Went with the 302a package and with everything I have been hearing about how underwhelming the b&o package is I opted not to get it and instead decided I will put that money towards upgrading the system on my own. New to the forum, just recently placed an order in Feb for a new 2022 f150 xlt. ![]()
